Luke is a man living on the streets that is always hanging out by my house, I’ve always thought he was so damn handsome so I decided to pay him for a photo and paint it. In the process I got to have a nice conversation with Luke. He’s been on the streets for 20 years, since he was 17 and he said it’s been very hard. He’s a vegan and eats mostly bananas and avocados. When I offered him money for a photo he laughed and asked“do you want me to take my shirt off?” Luke is a nice guy and asked me a lot of questions about myself and seemed genuinely interested in everything I had to say. If you drive by Luke sometimes you will see him reading a book, eating a banana or laying in the sun.
